Blocking Google advertsEdit

Blocking google ads, such as This edit, is a violation of the terms of Wikia hosting. Wikia is free for use, but is advertisement driven. Removing the ad column in such a manner is not allowed. --Splarka (talk) 04:52, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

OK, consider my knuckles well and truly rapped. I won't do it again, sir! ;-) --Nsayers 17:24, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Unused Spam-accountsEdit

Can you kill (in sense of delete) these unused Useracounts like (can't save the text here)? I found so much trash in Special:Specialpages / Special:Listusers - There are no contributions from these accounts and it violate privacy. Can I do this in any way? Bahnpirat 10:10, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

No, unless users have actually vandalised the wiki or added spam etc, I recommend you don't block them or delete their accounts. --Nsayers 00:17, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
This was a very old posting. Now I'm better informed how things go here. Thanks for responding to my request. Even this is out of time now. Did you recognized this wiki is now multi-lingual? english, german and open for other languages without much work. --Bahnpirat 14:16, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Multi-lingual? Cool! How do you set that up? Have you been creating German pages? --Nsayers 11:59, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

BugEdit

Hi Nsayers, I asked a forum question that thumbs have no distance on the right or left to the text, but with no answers. For example see the article Critical Mass. Now I have played with my personal User:Diamant/monobook.css and fixed it for myself. Other themes have also this simple style problem. I don't know how familiar you are with mediawiki. My suggestion to fix it temporary for all visitors is editing MediaWiki:common.css with the following content:

div.tleft {
    margin-right: 1em;
}
div.tright {
    margin-left: 1em;
}

Could you please fix it? Thanks, 14:18, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing this out, Diamant. I've made the change here: http://criticalmass.wikia.com/wiki/MediaWiki:Monobook.css --Nsayers 23:51, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks! --Diamant talk 02:25, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Links to Cycling-Wikias in menu Edit

Hi Nsayers, saw that you changed the menu on the left side and added links to other cycling wikis. One link is dead and there are some more cycling wikias available:

Almost all of them are not active, excepting w:c:fahrrad. Could you please update the links? Thanks, --Diamant talk 14:20, 27 February 2009 (UTC).

Removed and updated. Thanks for flagging this up. --Nsayers 12:46, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
